Superior Chapter
National AWIS is a non-profit association which works to promote women's activities in all scientific fields, from mentoring to scholarships to job listings. It was established in 1971 with the advent of Women's Rights and Title IX. AWIS has over 5,000 members in fields spanning the life and physical sciences, mathematics, social science, and engineering. The Lake Superior Chapter has about 75 members representing the fields of biological and physical sciences and mathematics. The chapter meets 4-5 times each year for programs, events, and social gatherings. To join our group, print out and mail this membership form to our secretary.
